Silk Taffeta is one of the oldest luxury fabrics. Taffeta is made from the longer and smoother white silk cocoons. The material is characterized with a fine, smooth and tightly woven finish and a distinctive rustle and shimmer. Although it is more crisp to the touch than Dupioni, it doesn't wrinkle badly or hold a crease well. It is reversible, not stretchy, and very easy to sew.
